I've been an addict of Launchy since long. Up until now, when I wanted to lookup a mail I know I have, I would do the following:
- hit WIN-SPACE (launchy)
- type "gmail"
- hit ENTER.
This causes firefox to open on the gmail inbox. When I arrive there, I would
- type a search query into the search box
I can now browse the results.
Thanks to Launchy, I can reduce these steps to these:
- hit WIN-SPACE (launchy)
- type "gmail"
- hit TAB
- type my search query (into launchy)
This is done with the extensions built into launchy. You have to define the "gmail" shortcut in weby as follows:
Name: gmail
URL: http://mail.google.com/mail/
Query: #search/%s
Et voilà.
