Microsoft Web Standards

Interesting article here explaining Microsoft's design decisions when creating their ASP.NET “Basic” design template.

Of note is the comment about using div's for layout instead of tables. I'm curious:

How many people actually use div tags to define their layouts over tables for the majority of their development?

Hey D'

I use divs for all of my layout. I still use tables, but ONLY for tabular list data. ALL layout code is strictly divs and css. 4/12/2006 4:21 PM | Shaneo

I wish I could... I stand amazed when I see some of the CSS guru's websites.... But I find I still fall back to tables when IE comes up and bites me in the a##. 4/12/2006 7:46 PM | Cam
