Microsoft announced the DreamSpark program recently, and it looks to be a phenomenal opportunity for any college student wanting to play with the non-trial, non-express versions of Microsoft development products.
In a nutshell, if you're a student you get free licenses for VS.NET 2008 Pro, Expression Studio, Windows Server 2003 Standard, and SQL Server 2005 Standard Edition (as well as access to the express versions).
