Unpacking the iPod (with video)

iPod (with video) unboxing

Believe it or not, no one at Engadget actually has an iPod (at the time of this writing), so we had to leave it to our pal Garrett M. to pick one up on behalf of, well, his damn self. So check out the iPod’s unboxing if you’re too broke, too cheap, too not ready yet, or too not-down-with-iPods to buy one for your damn self. Tons more pics after the break!

Ok, now I am jealous. I was dumb and bought the Nano a month ago. Not that the nano is bad, but I have been stopped from getting one of these because of the purchase. Let us know how you like the video playback.

still too big a device for me to carry around as an mp3 player. If it was 100% dedicated to video and has tons of features like other players focused on videos, i would buy one.

It's not bad at all, even if a little too expensive for me. Personally, I use a very simple-"not branded" mp3 player to listen to my music: it's not as beautiful as an ipod, but it does its work effectively.

I own a 60 GB model: it's really a beautiful device, you can even watch films on that.

Absolutely awesome. I bought it too, and I can say that its value is well above the price. I use it regularly and never a problem with the sync software or with the player hardware.
