I'm the MVP of MVC
There's a post title that'll screw with Google results. My fortune cookie from Panda reads: Avoid unchallenging occupations - they waste your talents. This is followed by what appears to be a little ad for Panda Express and Panda Inn (I guess those are the occupations that wouldn't waste my talents). Overall, I agree with the cookie, but I could use a little less challenge for a while. I haven't posted in a bit largely because of the challenge. Code Standards Can Kill You
First of all, the folks I used to work with will be glad to know that Panda Express is selling their Orange Chicken sauce at their restaurants. Unfortunately, it does not come in 2 liter bottles or six packs. On topic, the posts I've made here lately have gotten me thinking about the idea behind standards and/or best practices. I noticed a refrain in many of my posts, although it was unintentional - the idea that a given situation dictates the best solution as opposed to taking a pre-determined solution ......

The Deltas Between Fish and Pond Size
I intended to start this blog over a month ago. That was when I changed jobs, going from a .NET developer position with a large bank to a .NET developer position with a small marketing company. This isn't meant to be a work blog, per se. In fact, blogging about one's employer in any detail at all is sort of the economic equivalent of... well, I can't think of a good metaphor right now. Just imagine something very risky and somewhat humorous and pretend I said that just then. It would really help ......
