Tim Hibbard CEO for EnGraph software

For a while now, one of my goals has been to run a 5K (3.1 miles) in under 20 minutes.  This morning I finally broke that number.

I think the geek community needs to understand the significance of this accomplishment. So ask yourself, what was your fastest mile time in junior high or high school? Most people would say 7-10 mins. Well, imagine running faster than a 7 minute mile and then continue on for another 2.1 miles at that same pace. That's what Mr. Hibbard did.

Over the last two months I have improved my 5K time from 29:54 to 26:22 and I hope to break 26 this weekend at Zona Rosa. I've added long distance runs and interval training to my weekly workout routine and I hope I can one day come close to a sub 20-minute 5K!! I'm also working toward a half-marathon. Once again, congrats on this milestone.
